Priority Fix

In early Summer 2004, one of our clients commissioned Customer Interpreter to carry out a research project. We spoke to executives from professional service companies our client worked with. As part of that research, we profiled the language used by the individuals in order to tailor communications better. We used Language Interpreter, developed from work by Shelle Charvet based on NLP - Neurolinguistic Programming modelling techniques, and the results make interesting reading.
The direction of motivation is Towards. These are people who believe in getting on with the job. They are goal oriented and clearly focused on how to get there. This combines well with their Active position – just do it. Being motivated by Difference is a good driver of success. The people we spoke to enjoyed the variety of their work, and were open to new experiences. This allows them to learn faster and develop a valuable breadth of understanding of different business segments. This group are Internally driven in the context of work. They enjoy positive feedback, but actually know they have done a good job when they meet their own personal standards. These individuals are sceptical of new ideas, and look for proof of credibility when meeting new people – invaluable when interviewing potential contacts. Lastly, they can follow Procedures. They know there is a right way to do things, and it helps their clients that they are orderly in the way they organise and carry out a search. This businesslike trait supports getting the job done.
